Archers Lair or simply Lair as many students affectionately call it, is situated across the street from Andrews back entrance. The outside is a wire fence plastered with posters from the various foodstalls inside. A short walk through the graffiti lined path, with a wire fence on the left and a graffiti art wall on the right leads into the main part of lair.
Lair is a tight-spaced area, with plastic tables and chairs spacer along its hallways. Such hallways are lined with food stalls selling various fare, from barbecue to Mexican food. Theres an Internet café situated in the back. The true heart of lair however is the people.
The Lair Experience is 70% people and 30% food. People flock to lair everyday to get a cheap yet filling meal, and the regularity of certain peoples visits has formed a sort of community.
First of all, there are the staff members of the various establishments. Always arnmed with a smile and friendly demeanors, the vendors of lair are truly good people. They are always willing to allow a regular costumer a tab when that student is low on cash. Always honest, these kuyas and ates of lair will never short change you, and will not hesitate to hold a lost cellphone till the owner returns to claim it. It is a community based on trust and respect.
As for the students, Lair is always full of familiar faces, sitting in animated conversation. Friends, food and laughter abound in this place. Students pass the time studying, playing cards or computer games, eating and smoking cigarettes. Lair is a place thats comfortable and where everyone is always welcome.

There is nothing more heart-pumping, more exciting or more gratifying than preparing for a gig! It was the biggest concert I have ever played at. I wasnt even playing with my usual band, just, with a bunch of kids, who like me had a passion for the blues and all it stood for. We walked into the performers quarters, starstruck as renowned musicians milled about us. My band and I were guided to the rest tent where we were to wait till our turn on stage came up.
This was the Ako Mismo Concert; expected crowd of ten thousand people, with bands such as Bamboo, Up Dharma Down and even Ely Buendia as the final acts. I felt privileged to be a part of it. We sat in the tent, nervously tuning our instruments, and taking a random swig of whiskey to calm our nerves. Soon our turn canme and we made the short walk to the stage that felt like eternity.
We walked to the rear
